Our story,
a clear vision for French Fiber infrastructure
Since 2016, the ielo Group has been building a neutral, reliable, and fully controlled fiber-optic network. A trajectory driven by technical excellence and designed to meet the concrete needs of operators, data centers, public authorities and institutional actors.
A neutral & transparent model
ielo was born from the merger of two organizations founded by pioneers of open-source software and the free Internet. From the very beginning, our goal was to build a network designed for professional uses, with high technical standards.
That original choice still shapes the way we operate today. We focus exclusively on infrastructure: no services at higher layers, no management of customer routers, and no competition with your markets.
We provide this infrastructure to any organization seeking access to raw telecom infrastructure. In this way, we complement our partners, whatever their type. Any operator, data center, or institutional and public-sector player can rely on our network to deliver their own services.
We stay in our place, that of an infrastructure operator, open and acting fairly and consistently across all partners.
In the early days, access to infrastructure was a challenge. So we built the network we would have wanted to access ourselves, and opened it to those who needed it to grow.
We bring neutrality, engineering, and performance. You bring services and use cases. And together, the ielo infrastructure comes to life.
Our network is designed, deployed, and maintained in-house.
ielo has built a homogeneous and independent network, relying entirely on its internal expertise and without depending on legacy infrastructures. This structural choice allows us to deliver consistent performance, greater resilience, and fast response capabilities in the event of an incident.
We prioritize transparency at every level.
Our partners have access to monitoring tools, availability metrics, and diagnostics. Nothing is opaque. This is what enables everyone to operate the infrastructure with confidence.
Finally, we make sober, useful, and sustainable choices.
No hype, no unnecessary features. Our priority is to build a network that can handle the load, is easy to operate, and evolves coherently over time. We apply this model every day, in our technical decisions, in how we operate our network, and in our relationships with partners.
A controlled trajectory
The merger of Lost Oasis/IELO and Liazo gives rise to an independent infrastructure operator.
2016
Creation of the ielo Group
Technical profiles from the open-source software and the free Internet world founded ielo with a clear objective: to build an independent, neutral, end-to-end controlled infrastructure.
2020
Scaling up
DIF Capital Partners joins the journey. Launch of the long-haul network. ielo increases the footprint of its metropolitan network tenfold. In parallel, we acquired the Neuronnexion network.
2023
Quantic Telecom joins the ielo journey
Acquisition of Quantic Telecom. The team and infrastructure become part of ielo, strengthening our local presence and our ability to deploy quickly in the Normandie region.
2024
A new phase of growth
€208M bank financing secured to support further development. Our goal: densify the network, ensure service quality, and remain true to our model as a neutral and independent infrastructure operator.
2025
Heading West
ielo densifies its network in the Bretagne area. A strategic expansion to improve regional connectivity.
