Use case

FTTO connection for a call center platform

Provision of a 10 Gb/s FTTO link

The platform relied on critical real-time applications: calls, supervision, traceability, and a remote ERP. The existing Internet access — shared and non-guaranteed — caused micro-outages and latency fluctuations that directly impacted operations: service interruptions, session losses, blocked agents, and slowdowns during peak hours.

Challenge: Ensure a stable, symmetric, and predictable Internet access, capable of handling continuous load without relying on shared infrastructure.

Solution Deployed

To eliminate network uncertainty and provide a reliable foundation, ielo deployed an FTTO to the site, based on:

  • A truly dedicated local optical loop between the site and the ielo POP
  • Symmetric bandwidth guaranteed at all times, regardless of load
  • Controlled and stable latency
  • 4-hour GTR and internal N2/N3 support to minimize incident impact
  • 24/7 monitoring

To further strengthen business continuity, the site also implemented:

  • Physical redundancy with a second optical path available via ielo’s metropolitan network
  • 4G/5G backup to maintain critical services in the event of a major incident

Result

The site now benefits from:

  • Constant Internet access with no bandwidth fluctuations
  • Stable latency
  • Smoother operations, free of micro-outages and session losses
  • Rapid, guaranteed recovery even in case of network incidents
  • A reliable network foundation for future growth, including real-time reporting or potential SD-WAN deployment

By replacing shared Internet access with an FTTO link, the site secured its operations and eliminated an invisible but critical risk: connectivity.
